NYAMB 11 Hour NY SAFE Comprehensive: Compliance in Action 2020 (classroom)

Course Description: 

This course satisfies the annual continuing education requirements for mortgage loan originators set forth by the SAFE Act. SAFE Comprehensive: Compliance in Action 2020 covers topics required by the SAFE Act, including 3 hours of federal law, 2 hours of ethics, 2 hours of nontraditional mortgage lending,1 hour of undefined education (elective) and 3 hours of NY state-specific electives.

Course Offerings (Public & Private Courses Available)

NYAMB offers one (1) public 11 Hour Course in each of our Regions (Long Island, Lower Hudson, North East & Western) starting in the Fall each year. In addition to our public course offering, we offer private courses for companies wishing to host a private class for their employees (mlos). For inquiries about setting up a private course offer please send your request with the following information to etella@teammgmtsvs.com  (company name, requested date , full address for course location & number of students. Please note: a minimum of 10 students are needed to host a private course offering. Please be sure to check our course calendar for availability. 

Course Registration Fee

Registration includes: student course book, nmls recording fees, certificate of completion,  (due to covid 19 policy and protocols there will be no food or drinks provided. Each student is responsible to bring their own food and beverage unless otherwise noted at the time of registration)

  • NYAMB Members: $199.00 (per person/pre-registered)
  • Non-Members: $299.00 (per person/pre-registered) 
Due to limited seating in adhering to the CDC and NYS Covid-19 guidelines Walk In Registrations are NOT permitted. You MUST be pre-registered to attend any of our classes. 

Student Check List & Important Information pertaining to Covid-19

__Bring the same NYS Gov't photo ID (drivers license or passport) that you registered with

Important Covid-19 Information: 

Covid-19 Liability Disclaimer & Agreement

NYAMB will have extra masks and hand sanitizers but you are required to arrive wearing your own mask. Standard safety Covid-19 health questions will be asked and temperatures will be taken prior to entrance. NYAMB reserves the right to not permit a students entrance into the class for health safety reasons. Persons denied entry for health reasons will receive a full refund of their paid course registration. Any student who is experiencing any signs of illness that resembles symptoms as listed on the CDC list of systems for Covid-19 website prior to class and/or has a positive response to a Covid-19 test within 15-20 days after the date of class is asked to be responsible and concerned for fellow students and staff and contact the NYAMB office by sending an email to etella@teammgmtsvs.com on the onset. Thank you for your cooperation. 

Policy & Requirements for Satisfy Your Course Completion

  • Registrants must agree with all course policy put forth by NYAMB and NMLS Student Code of Conduct
  • Each student must hold an active license and provide their individual NMLS # at the time of registration & on-site during student check in. 
  • Each student must have in possession an current US Gov't photo ID (drivers license or passport) at the time of registration and on-site during student check in. 
  • Each student will be required to complete the full 11 Hour classroom course to receive credit for the class and will be required to sign in and out with the course proctor the day of the class. (any student who leaves without signing out will not be granted a certificate of course completion)
  • Each student is expected to participate in class room & group activities.
  • Each student must adhere to policy for proper social distancing, including: wearing a mask at all times, no co-mingling, having their temperature taken on site and answering standard health covid-19 health questions
  • Each student who meets the above requirements will receive upon completion of the 11 hour class a certificate of completion signed by the approved lead instructor for their record. Lost or damaged certificates are replaceable for a fee of $25 per issue request. 
  • NYAMB is responsible for the recording to NMLS all student course completion within 10 business days from the date of course completion. Students who do not provide an acurate combination of their name and nmls# will NOT be recorded with the NMLS as have completed the required 11 Hour course.

Cancellation & No Show Policy

No refunds or credits will be issued for no shows. A 50% refund will be issued for cancellations that are received in writing at least 5 business days prior to the scheduled class. No exceptions!

  • Private Course Offerings
    Private course offerings are offered to private companies and will require a registration passcode to register. Companies wishing to schedule a private course offering must have a minimum of 10 students and an approved location by NYAMB (typically your company office) . Space must be able to accommodate the CDC & NYS Guidelines for proper social distancing of seating a min. of 6' apart. Course requests must be sent in writing to: etella@teammgmtsvs.com  and include; proposed date, address, and number of students/mlo's.
