For those of you who have not yet completed your 2024 AML Training requirement, NYAMB is offering their class for the last time this year.
This training class will cover Federal, BSA/AML regulatory requirements applicable to the residential mortgage industry. After a brief history and explanation of AML regulations, the class will address the application of these regulations to the residential mortgage industry as contained in 31 C.F.R. §1029. Guidance and explanations given by the U.S. Treasury’s FinCEN division will also be presented. Examples of recent regulatory actions will also be reviewed. The Anti Money Laundering Rule requires Mortgage Brokers to file reports with the US Treasury that have a high degree of usefulness in criminal, tax, or regulatory investigations including suspicious activity that may indicate mortgage fraud.
