Bio
Bob has extensive industry experience dating back to 1974 in the mortgage and finance industries. He became a professional mortgage broker in 1989. Bob founded his own company, Adirondack Funding Services (AFS) in July 1991. AFS is located in the Northern Adirondack region of New York but the company has experience in all areas of Upstate New York.
Bob has donated an abundance of his time serving more than 25 years with the NYAMB at nearly every level of the organization. He has always been very active in leadership roles with the NYAMB beginning as the State Chairperson for the Annual Convention at the Sagamore Resort in 1993. Bob also served on various state-level committees including Executive, Education, Legislative, Membership and as Northeast Region President. He has been a representative for NYAMB as a National Delegate with NAMB, the National Association of Mortgage Brokers (a/k/a National Association of Mortgage Professionals).
He served as NYAMB's State President in 2009-2010. In addition, Bob served the mortgage industry nationally in 2012, being selected by SBA as an "Industry Small Business Representative" to the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau's "Mortgage Origination Rule Making Standards Committee." The purpose of this committee was to promulgate the new regulations as required by the Dodd-Frank Act of 2010.
Beginning in 2008, Bob is currently a Certified Education Instructor for NYAMB's Education Program which provides NMLS required education courses for MLO Licensing and Continuing Education for MLO License renewals.
Bob lives in Peru, NY with his lovely wife of 42 years, Cindy. They enjoy spending time with their four grown children and eight grandchildren.
